Everyday Matters Challenge 015 - 021

This week has been complete trash and drawings are absolute garbage :)
I've been setting up a new laptop which took most of my free time. Drawings 18 to 21 were all drawn in haste on a single day.
We decided to set severe rules that the first 20 drawings are a period of adaptation. Staring from day 21 you must draw and post on daily basis. If you fail to do that you are out of the challenge. If you want to participate again you have to start from the very beginning.

015 – Draw a tree or trees, leaves or branches

Botanicula inspired tree. A quick drawing. Just to keep up with the shcedule

016 – Draw a favorite tool

I like the beads here. Eveything else is crap

017 – Draw a musical instrument

I've always wanted to play piano. From time to time, I've been even trying to play. But I failed in it.

018 – Draw the view from a window of your house, apartment, office, etc.

The view from the appartment I rent

019 – Draw something you’ve made

Mittens that look plasticine. In fact that are made out of angora wool. They keep my hands warm in the cold office and at home. Well, it's very cold in my appartment

020 – Draw something “Dad” – in honor of Fathers Day

The reason why this screw looks so horrible is that Corel Painter 10 failed to start on the new laptop so I had to try to draw this in haste in Painter 12.
My father used to do a lot of things with his hands. And I liked to help him mending stuff and building furniture. Yet, I think a piece of colophony would represnet my childhood "dad" memories much better.

021 – Draw something old, antique or vintage

If  had ever been told that I would ever draw Lenin I would not believe this bullshit. Why the hell I should ever draw Lenin?
This thing is not antique or vintage. It's simple pretty old. It's my mother's Little Octobrist badge.

I  hope, I'll have more time to draw properly next week :)

Everyday Matters Challenge 008 - 014

So, the second week of Everyday Matters Challenge is over.

008 – Draw your watch or other piece of jewelry

For some reason everybody thinks it is a watch. It is not. It is just a bracelet. "Almonds"

009 – Draw a bit of “organized chaos” – your messy desk, your table stacked with books, etc.

Yes, I've got pickles and Milka chocolate on my desk. No, I'm not pregnant.

010 – Draw your hand or hands (or someone elses if you like)

011 – Draw your glasses or sunglasses

I bought these fake glasses for a Nerd Party. I liked them very much, But they got broken when I went hiking this summer. It happend either when I fell down the rocks. Or when our guide dropped my backpack.

012 – Draw what you ate for dinner

Not that I always eat sushi for dinner. I just was too tired that day to cook and draw. So I got myself some Philadelphia rolls which are very nice to draw.

013 – Draw your telephone (land line, cell, old-fashioned?)

My Cisco phone at work. Drawing a cellphone is boring these days. There used to be different fancy and cute models several years ago. Not it's only black rectangles with a single button.

014 – Draw what you see in the morning when you get up

Well, to be exact, that's what I see when I wake up. Almost every day, when alarm clock is ringing, my cat comes to make sure I wake up. At times, however, it looks like she comes not to let me get up and go away.

Everyday Matters Challenge 001 - 007

001 – Draw a shoe

002 – Draw a desk lamp or other lamp

003 – Purses, Wallets or Bags

004 – Draw your mug or cup

I know the cup looks angular. This happens to all round objects I draw :)

005 – Draw your bed

006 – Draw your favorite well-loved object … or a childhood toy

007 – Draw a bottle, jar or tin from the kitchen

I had absolutely no desire to draw any bottles or jars.

Everyday Matters Challenge

This is how this maddness started

Today, October 4th, 2014, I, Marat *** (Kastanek) am challenging Oleksandra *** (Asashay) to daily draw things from the list below.
In case of refusal - damn, everything is lost in this case! No refusal!
In case of completing the challenge Oleksandra will be honorary awarded with "Kastan Optokoshk" and will be presented with a real quality brush.
The challenge is sent! Water your brushes!

I, Oleksandra accept the challenge and dare you, Marat, in return. So that I am not alone in this trial. A little surprise will be waiting for you 329 days from now (I have not decided yet, what it's going to be lol ) So, sharpen your pencils and get down to this Everyday Matters Challenge. As agreed, we start tomorrow and down the attached list.
Good luck and have fun!
